Clinical and Teaching Background
Dr. Raveena Jagwani brings to our practice a background of two plus decades of expertise in dental wellness and cosmetic dentistry. She believes in "Excellence" and in treating all patients with the highest quality of care.
Dr. Jagwani completed her Doctoral degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in 2002. She then completed specialty training in Oral Biological Dentistry and Advanced Education in General Dentistry with a focus on Implantology, Prosthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Raveena Jagwani is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept of Oral Biology at Stony Brook University Dental School. By using innovative oral diagnostic tools (such as Salivary Diagnostics) she teaches and practices Oral biologic dentistry. This approach considers the impact of dental health on the whole body.
Dr. Jagwani takes numerous continuing education courses, hands on workshops, lectures and gives lectures to dental students to stay current with the advances in the dynamic field of dentistry. Dr. Jagwani is very excited about dentistry and the future of it because of the advanced technologies available today. She feels it has created more opportunities for providing preventive care with an emphasis on ones overall health. Hence, allowing us to provide quality of life care for our patients.
Dr. Jagwani has received several awards including the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry Award, the Waterpik Prosthodontics Award and the Organization of Teachers of Oral Diagnosis Award. She is also a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society.
